We are excited to announce the release of 2017 Q1 Operations Integration (OI) Servers generation G-2.0.
This release introduces Auto-Build functionality, site-based licensing support, and significant enhancements in the OI Core.
Wonderware OI Servers are a part of Schneider Electric Software’s Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity strategy.
The inherent architecture of OI Servers allows seamless integration of a growing number of devices, ideal for use in Smart Cities, geographically distributed industries, as well as integration between currently disparate systems on a global scale.
As part of our IIoT strategy, we continue to expand our offerings to make a broader range of connectivity available. With the recent release of OI Gateway and connectivity to MQTT, we have made all our OI Servers IoT ready.
To facilitate further adoption and integration of IOT applications for edge devices, we are introducing the free 32-Tag Tiny application support with the OI-Core G-2.0. This allows integration with very small applications (32 Tags) in edge sites to connect with Wonderware Online or even Wonderware System Platform without requiring an OI Server license.
Wonderware OI Servers are a part of Schneider Electric Software’s Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity strategy.
With this release, we have also added Auto-Build capability in our Operations Integration Servers. Auto-Build is available initially with ABCIP OI Server, but will soon be expanded to other OI Servers. It helps improve engineering efficiency by reading the structure of a PLC program and automatically building the Application Server templates and instances based on the PLC schema.
“Auto-Build will result in faster time-to-runtime and better integration between Wonderware System Platform and PLCs. This new functionality will allow novice and seasoned users of our software to build project with the best engineering practices set for them.”
Last but not least, all new generation G-2.0 OI Severs support new site-based licensing where the products can map to a centralized location for license management, instead of having to be managed individually at each computer.
With the recent release of OI Gateway and connectivity to MQTT, we have made all our OI Servers IoT ready.
Customers using the new OI Servers will benefit from:
New Auto-Build capability
Seamless integration between InTouch, System Platform and PLCs
Increased throughput; increased scalability
Elimination of single points of failure
Maximized communication uptime
Integrated support of multiple OI Server versions on a single node
Co-existence with Wonderware DAServers and DI Objects on a single node
Site-based licensing
